About This Role
We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned Managing Director to lead the Data & Analytics Practice within our Consulting Business Unit. This role requires deep expertise in the evolving data ecosystem and a clear understanding of its critical role in driving successful enterprise-level engagements. The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of both selling and delivering data-driven solutions at scale and will be firmly rooted in the professional services landscape, with a well-established network of business leaders.

What You Will Work On
  • Lead the Practice: Own the success of the Data & Analytics Practice—including strategy, go-to-market offerings, revenue growth, profitability, team development, client outcomes, and partnerships.
  • Drive Growth: Develop innovative strategies and solutions to expand the practice and meet evolving market demands.
  • Build Talent Communities: Partner with other business units to identify, develop, and scale Data & Analytics capabilities across the firm.
  • Shape Market Positioning: Set pricing and positioning strategies for engagements and offerings.
  • Promote Thought Leadership: Champion internal and external knowledge sharing, fostering a strong point of view and innovative mindset.
  • Develop & Inspire Teams: Lead a team of consultants and project professionals; manage performance, engagement, and development; and build a strong practice culture.
  • Ensure Client Excellence: Uphold high standards of delivery, quality, and client satisfaction across all engagements.
  • Deliver Results: Key performance metrics include revenue growth, profitability, utilization, and individual sales generation.

What You Will Bring
  • Proven success building and leading a $50MM+ Data & Analytics Advisory Practice within a consulting firm.
  • 15+ years in consulting leadership delivery at a major consulting firm.
  • Strong sales and business development acumen with a record of exceeding revenue targets.
  • Deep expertise of the data ecosystem, including:
    • Data Strategy and Governance
    • Master Data Management and Data Quality
    • Architecture and Design (including Data Mesh/Fabrics)
    • Cloud platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake)
    • AI/ML readiness (data prep, lineage, tagging, cleaning)
  • Research, Data Gathering, and Critical Thinking: Ability to independently gather and analyze data, engage stakeholders to gather input, and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Written and Verbal Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to develop business development-focused content and deliver presentations to a range of audiences, including C-level executives and internal teams.
  • Leadership and Delivery: Proven ability to take initiative, lead and inspire global teams, manage external partners, and collaborate effectively across all levels on proposals and business development efforts.
  • Creativity, Initiative, and Thought Leadership: Strong problem-solving skills with a creative approach to developing new project ideas and articulating a compelling value proposition.
  • Active Listening and Commitment: Ability to listen openly, build trust with clients and colleagues, and demonstrate a strong commitment to RGP’s mission and values.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Experience working with diverse stakeholders and aligning them around shared goals and outcomes.
  • Learning Mindset: A desire for continuous improvement and a passion for supporting the learning and growth of both internal and client teams, while fostering a culture that embraces development and curiosity.
  • Master's degree preferred.
What You Can Expect
  • All Compensation is commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors, including geographic location, market, and operational factors.
  • Base Pay Range: $220,000 - $275,000
  • Other Compensation: Incentive Compensation
